The first meetings of what became St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church took place in 1935 with a prayer band in home. We planted roots in our current church home on Paul Quinn. Thanks to God’s faithfulness, our congregation, our church building, and our reach have all grown since then.
St. Paul MB Church has been a part of the Acres Home Community for more than eight five years, and we look forward to seeing what God has in store for us in the years ahead. He is willing to do more than we can think or imagine!
In 1935 ST. Paul Church was organized by a prayer band with Paul Jackson and Rev. Jacko in a North Houston community called Acres Home. The prayer band continued from house to house until 1936. Paul Jackson was called to preach between 1934-1935. The prayer The prayer band continued from resident to resident until 1936 in which a decision was made to start ST. A tent with dirt floors was setup and St. Paul Church services were held at the location of 2516 Paul Quinn where there were no public utilities such as lights, gas or water. A building measuring approximately 14 X 20 feet was constructed and latter added extensions, enlargements and expansion. In 1938 the Masons family received the final payment for the land.

OUR STRATEGY
1. Come and See
2. Stay and Grow
3. Go Out & Serve
The St. Paul Missionary Church is a Baptist Church located in the heart of 44 Acres Home Community within the city of Houston and state of Texas. Founded in 1935 by a prayer band. Our denomination values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace and spiritual life that comes through a faith with Jesus Christ.
At St. Paul Church, we base all of our beliefs on the authority of Scripture. In every way, we strive to maintain Biblical standards of living and leadership. We believe that living life according to God's Word is the way to an abundant, fulfilling life.
We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God and without error. The Bible is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine. See 2 Timothy 3:16.e.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is the Creator of the world and is actively involved in humanity. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit is continuing the work of Jesus upon the earth. See Matthew 28:19.
We believe that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sin. We believe that salvation is only found by placing our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again. See Romans 5:1; 5:8-9.
We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. See 1 Peter 3:21.
We believe in the regularly receiving Communion as an act of remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us through dying on the cross. See 1 Corinthians 11:24-25.
